Mazunte and Zipolite beaches, Mexico
Approximately one hour drive from Hautulco or Puerto Escondido is located Mexico attraction where people come to have a rest and idle. Yes, yes, you can even find the inscription above the entrance to this place «A nice place on the beach where people come to do nothing».
This place is called «Zipolite» beach. Well, I`ve got to tell it like it is.
Once my friend and I decided to go on Mexican holidays to «Zicatela» beach and «Mazunte» village. These places are located close to each other.
First of all we came to «Mazunte». It is a cute tourist village with cafes, bars and others place for travelers. This spot also has a beautiful beach.
We walked there, sited on the beach, drank coconut and headed to the «Zipolite» beach.
«Zipolite» is two streets with cafes, bars, small shops for the tourists. But the main sightseeing of this place is the huge amazing beach. This beach is famous in Mexico and a lot of tourists like to have a rest there.
We sat in a bar in front of the ocean and took a bottle of beer with lime. It is usual to add lime in the beer in Mexico.
After that we went to the beach. I have to tell you that this Mexico beach is not a usual spot, it is a nudist beach. Most of the nudists are couples 45-60 years old. They like to visit this Mexico attraction, walk and have a sun without clothes.
After we came back from the beach we actually didn’t know what to do next in this place on our Mexico holidays. The sign was told true: «Here people come to do nothing». You have to visit this place in Mexico just to have a rest: walk on the beach, have a sun, listen sounds of the waves, play beach games, drink cocktails, meditate, lie in hammock and read a book or just think about eternity.
We went to look for the hammocks.
After that we ate the huge quesadillas with different fillings.
In the beginning of our trip I was promised to see the most beautiful sunset in Mexico. So we headed to the place «Punta Cometa». I had to see the magical sunset there. This place is located a little further than «Mazunta» village.
We reached end of the village by bus and walked farther. We moved a long distance and as it turned out later, we missed the turn to «Punta Cometa» and went much further. We didn’t have time to come back and we decided to see the sunset in any place close to the ocean where we were. But we even couldn’t come up to the ocean because the road before us was blocked by a swamp. So, I saw the sunset on my Mexico holiday close to some puddle but I had to see it like this!

To top it all while we have been coming back, there was no any taxi and we «joyfully» walked alone on the deserted road among jungle in complete darkness rarely illuminated by headlights of passing cars. So adventure trip in Mexico. Although, twice we was lucky and kind Mexican people took us first to «Mazunte» and then almost to «Zipolite».
In the end of our way we saw a gleam of a light in the distance and had a bet if it was a fire or lamp. The prize was pizza. And I lost the bet.
Pizza was great! After so long walk I was very hungry.
It was a final of our adventure for this day in «Zipolite» and «Mazunte».
