Puerto Escondido town is on the coast of Pacific Ocean in Mexico. Here you can find a lot of Mexican beaches. These beaches are not similar they have their specialties, characters and nature. You can visit them in your Mexico vacations. I have visited 10 beaches of Puerto Escondido I will tell about them.
Mexico Beach «Zicatela» in Puerto Escondido
The main, famous and favorite place for the surfers in Puerto Escondido is Zicatela beach. There is an international surfing championship in November here. A lot of tourist travel to Mexico in this time to see it. Almost all year around with the exception of several winter months you can find big waves in this Mexico beach. It is the longest beach in Puerto Escondido. In my opinion, it is not the best place for swimming because there are strong currents but you can stay in the water close to the coast. There are lots of cafés, restaurants, bars and surf-shops. Besides you can walk here on your Mexico vacations, enjoy sunset, listen to live music and look how professional surfers surf.
Mexico beach «La Punta» in Puerto Escondido
The beach «La Punta» is located very close to «Zicatela» beach. Waves are less, much smoother and slowly closed on this beach because it finishes by rocks. Here you can see surfers who just begin to learn to surf. This beach in Puerto Escondido has vegetation, mainly palms and it is calmer.
Mexico beach «Puerto Angelito» in Puerto Escondido
Usually it is a very loud and busy Mexico beach. It is the favorite place of local Mexicans to visit. You can find many children here may be because there are almost no waves on this beach in Puerto Escondido. There are a lot of cafés and restaurants around with delicious seafood; also you can see many fish boats and vegetation here.
Mexico beach «Carizalillo» in Puerto Escondido
This small Mexico beach is a peaceful place inside big vegetation. There are almost no waves here. This place is great for swimming. This Mexico beach is the favorite for Americans and Canadians after 40 years on Mexico vacations. To get to this beach you have to go down the hill on stairs. Here you can find several cafés where you can have a drink. But «Carizalillo» beach is a little bit far from entertainment life of the city.
Mexico beach «Coral» in Puerto Escondido
It is a small, almost hidden Mexico beach with very clean and clear water. People come here for snorkeling. This beautiful beach in Puerto Escondido is located in the bay it is because there are almost no waves here. To get here is difficult if you don`t know the road because the short way goes through the hills on a narrow path. Visit this Mexico place in your Mexico vacation it is very beautiful!
Mexico beach «Principal» in Puerto Escondido
The main beach of Puerto Escondido is «Principal» beach. This beach has hundreds of Mexicans in holidays, the same as «Puerto Angelito» beach. Water is very calm here it is a perfect place for swimming. But in my opinion, this Mexico beach is a little bit dirty because it is a lot of fish boats there.
Mexico beach «Marinero» in Puerto Escondido
The beach «Marinero» in Puerto Escondido is located between «Principal» beach and «Zicatela» beach. This Mexico beach doesn’t have boats. Here waves are bigger than in «Principal» beach but smaller than in «Zicatela» beach.
Mexico beach «Bacocho» in Puerto Escondido
The beach «Bacocho» is a huge Mexico beach, enough wild. There are almost no hotels, cafés and restaurants here, also there is no a lot of vegetation but the beach is beautiful. This place is good for a walk. You can also enjoy beautiful sunsets here on your Mexico vacations.
Mexico beach «La Barra» in Puerto Escondido
The beach «La Barra» in Puerto Escondido is located after the beach «La Punta. It is also a huge and wild Mexico beach. This beach goes to the lagoon. When I was there I didn’t meet anybody.
And one more Mexico beach in Puerto Escondido
It is a hidden Mexico beach. It is the very beautiful place where almost never you can meet people. Well, at least when I was here there was no anybody. This Mexico beach is located… But I don’t tell you where this beach is located because it is a hidden Mexico beach! You can`t go to this beach any day, the road can be covered under water.
